XTZ Room Analyzer

XTZ Room Analyzer is a software tool for those who want to determine and handle the sonic problems caused by the room. The professionally developed software handles:

● Room Analyzing

● Frequency response - RTA

● Frequency response measurement

● Reverberation time/Spectrogram

Room Analyzer

A plotted curve shows the average frequency response of the room.
“Found Room Modes” gives information about the found problems and what countermeasures to consider.
Frequency range: 16 - 250Hz.
The information can be downloaded to an XTZ 99 W12 DSP Subwoofer.


Spectrogram

The spectrogram is a 2D waterfall diagram.
It shows the reverberation time, and the “size” of the problems.
The room analysis is based on this information.
Frequency range: 16 - 250Hz.
Time: 0 - 250 ms


Frequency response - RTA

Real Time Analyzer (RTA).
Shows the frequency response in one place, with 1/3 octave resolution.
Frequency range: 16 - 20000Hz.
The information can be downloaded to an XTZ 99 W12 DSP Subwoofer.

Example of practical use:

· Use the XTZ Room Analyzer to h elp in finding the best placement of loudspeakers or subwoofers in a given control room.

 · Optimizing the control room with absorption, bass traps and Helmholtz Resonators.

· Provide accurate values for subwoofers with Parametric Equalizer (99 W12 DSP) in order to compensate for found room acoustic problems.

To make it as simple as possible XTZ chose to use a USB microphone. This way the Room Analyzer does not need a microphone driver.  The microphone is specifically developed for the Room Analyzer and is needed for the software to work.

Analysis
The software shows the frequency response in the room, with and without the suggested corrections. The result of the adjusted frequency response can be presented.

For those who want to analyze their room and do passive measurements this is valuable information.

Measurement
An easy measuring procedure, with advanced algorithms in the background, helps you to handle the program without being a computer wizard.
