“After much moving and fiddling the panels have had a dramatic influence on the sound - mostly subjectively increasing the bass spectacularly - presumably by dampening some of the reflections that create standing waves that caused the bass suck out I was suffering in the first place. I am very impressed with the work of the panels and the performance/price ratio. The corner trap is definitely the star of the show I think and clearly the combination of the foam and the rear wood panel does douse a whole lot of corner energy. “Given that our new home is truly minimalist with no fabrics and soft furnishings whatsoever, our high end audio equipment simply could not be enjoyed. Having made fairly extensive enquiries with various suppliers of acoustic treatments, we decided to use 6 Wall Sound Trap Panels supplied by Advanced Acoustics. We were prepared to compromise on sound to a certain extent, as aesthetics were also very important. However, these acoustic absorbers perform far and way beyond that which we expected. We did not put them on the wall in strategic positions: we positioned them to make them look visually pleasing. Further, the listening position varies: the room has two recliners and these are positioned according to the number of listeners in the room. We do not fell there is any need to acoustically treat our room any further. We are now truly happy when listening to music and the room looks super too - just what we were looking for! From making the first enquiry to receiving the panels we were really well looked after. We visited Advanced Acoustic at their facility in Mansfield, and we were given all the time we needed to decide if and what we anted to purchase. We were able to see all of the acoustic treatment products, but for us there was only one choice that satisfied the aesthetics - the Wall Sound Trap Panels. Our sales representative advised us knowledgably on aspects of acoustic treatment and he showed us in full detail how the products were manufactured. We accept that we did have to take a leap of faith in the end and we were not really sure how the panels would perform but we needn't have concerned ourselves at all. We would thoroughly recommend the panels based on their fantastic looks and excellent build quality, truly great performance and superb service from Advanced Acoustics.”
