Mapei Ultrabond ECO VS90 PLUS | Flooring Adhesive
Mapei Ultrabond ECO VS90 PLUS is a hard-set, highly shear resistant wet-bed dispersion adhesive for bonding PVC, rubber, resilient, and textile floor coverings to absorbent substrates. It is the recommended adhesive for installing SilentCork3 Acoustic Underlay, providing a permanent, high-strength bond that maintains full contact between the underlay and the subfloor — essential for consistent acoustic performance across the installation.
The adhesive cures to a hard, dimensionally stable bond that resists the shear forces generated by foot traffic, furniture movement, and wheeled loads. It is rated for static and dynamic loads across residential, commercial, and industrial environments including hospitals, shopping centres, and airports, and meets EN 12529 for stress from chair castors.
Applications
- Acoustic underlay installation — the recommended adhesive for bonding SilentCork3 Acoustic Underlay to absorbent subfloors. Full-coverage bonding eliminates voids beneath the underlay that would otherwise reduce its impact sound reduction performance and create areas vulnerable to movement and noise under foot traffic.
- PVC and rubber floor coverings — primary specification for bonding sheet vinyl, LVT, rubber flooring, and similar resilient coverings to absorbent substrates including concrete, sand-cement screed, and timber-based boards. Textile floor coverings — suitable as a universal adhesive for carpet tiles and textile floor coverings where a permanent full-bond installation is required rather than a releasable or pressure-sensitive adhesive.
- Underfloor heating systems — compatible with underfloor heating substrates. The adhesive maintains bond integrity through the thermal cycling of heating systems without softening or releasing.
- Walls — suitable for bonding rubber and resilient wall coverings to absorbent interior wall substrates in commercial applications.
