Advanced Acoustics Column2 1ft x 2ft Acoustic Foam Treatment Panel - Pack of 8
The Advanced Acoustics Column2 Pack of 8 contains 8 semi-circular acoustic foam panels, each measuring 305mm × 610mm × 150mm (1ft × 2ft × 6"). Together they cover a wall footprint of 1.49m² (16sqft). The semi-circular cross-section gives each panel a curved surface area of 0.29m² — approximately 57% greater than the flat footprint — increasing effective acoustic surface area relative to flat panels of equivalent size.
At 150mm, the Column2 is the deepest foam panel in the Advanced Acoustics range, providing substantially stronger low-frequency absorption than flat slab panels. The pack of 8 provides sufficient panels to treat a significant wall section or to distribute treatment across multiple surfaces. Available in Mid Grey and Dark Grey. Manufactured in the UK.
Applications
Recording studios and home studios — substantial deep low-frequency treatment.
The pack of 8 provides 1.49m² of wall footprint coverage, sufficient to treat a full wall section or the primary reflection points and rear wall of a typical home studio or recording space. At 150mm depth, the Column2 panels address low-frequency absorption that flat panel formats cannot match, making the pack of 8 appropriate for studios where comprehensive deep broadband treatment across a wall surface is the requirement.
Statement acoustic wall installations.
Eight panels provide enough coverage for a full-wall column installation — a structured, repeating semi-circular pattern that functions as both acoustic treatment and interior feature. Panels can be installed bare in Mid Grey or Dark Grey, or fabric-wrapped in any open-weave material to create a finished fabric column wall. The pack of 8 provides a practical quantity for planning a complete wall treatment with consistent spacing and alignment.
Corners and distributed treatment.
The pack of 8 provides sufficient panels for treating multiple corners, wall-ceiling junctions, and primary reflection points across a room simultaneously — a more comprehensive acoustic treatment approach than treating a single surface alone. Distributed placement across the room delivers more even absorption coverage than concentrating all panels in one area.
Product Benefits
150mm depth — deep low-frequency absorption across 1.49m² of coverage.
Eight panels at 305mm × 610mm provide 1.49m² (16sqft) of wall footprint coverage at 150mm depth — the greatest foam depth in the Advanced Acoustics range. The combined panel area treats a significant portion of a wall surface with deep broadband absorption, particularly effective at the low-mid frequencies that standard 25–100mm panels address less thoroughly.
Semi-circular profile — increased surface area, distinctive visual result.
Each panel's CNC-cut semi-circular cross-section provides a curved surface area approximately 57% greater than its wall footprint. Across 8 panels, the total curved surface area is 2.34m² from a 1.49m² footprint. The repeating semi-circular column form creates a structured, three-dimensional wall installation that is visually distinctive from flat panel formats. Panels can be fabric-wrapped for a finished appearance.
Specification and compliance.
30kg/m³ foam density. Crib 5 and Schedule 1, Part 1 of the Furnishings and Furniture (Fire)(Safety) Regulations 1988 (amended 1989). Panel size 305mm × 610mm × 150mm (1ft × 2ft × 6"). 8 panels per pack, 1.49m² (16sqft) total footprint. Mid Grey and Dark Grey. Manufactured in the UK and shipped uncompressed from stock.
Installation
Plan the panel layout before beginning installation. Mark panel positions on the wall surface using pencil or masking tape to ensure even spacing and alignment before applying adhesive.
Apply Advanced Acoustics High Strength Contact Adhesive to the flat rear face of each panel and the corresponding wall surface. Apply a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the flat face and 50–75% coverage of the remaining surface area; repeat on the wall. Allow to become touch-dry before bringing surfaces together — contact adhesive bonds on contact, so position each panel carefully before pressing it to the wall. The adhesive is solvent-based; ensure adequate ventilation throughout installation.
For a demountable installation, fix D-rings to the flat rear face of each panel and hang from picture hooks. This allows panels to be removed and repositioned without damage to the wall surface.
