The Advanced Acoustics Wedge 30" × 30" is a 40mm open-cell polyurethane acoustic foam tile in a precision CNC-cut wedge profile, measuring 762mm × 762mm (30" × 30"). The tile achieves NRC 0.60 (Sound Absorption Class D), providing effective absorption across the mid and high frequency range. Each pack contains 6 tiles, covering 3.48m² (37.5sqft) of wall or ceiling surface — one of the largest coverage formats in the Advanced Acoustics range. Absorption increases with frequency: 0.25 at 250Hz, 0.47 at 500Hz, 0.69 at 1kHz, 1.00 at 2kHz, and 1.19 at 4kHz. The square format can be installed in horizontal or vertical orientations, and combined with other 30" Studio Foam Tiles for mixed-format wall treatments. Available in Mid Grey and Dark Grey. Applications

The 30" × 30" format covers significant wall area per tile, making this pack well suited to treating the larger wall surfaces of rehearsal rooms, live rooms, and studios where high-frequency flutter echo and reverberation are the primary acoustic problems. The 3.48m² coverage per pack reduces the number of installation pieces required for a given treatment area relative to smaller tile formats. Rehearsal rooms and live rooms.
Rehearsal and live rooms benefit from controlled high-frequency reverberation to reduce the build-up of reflected sound energy that makes it difficult for musicians to hear each other clearly. The Wedge 30" × 30" provides effective absorption at the higher frequencies most responsible for this build-up, with the large format suiting the larger wall areas typical of these spaces.
Mixed-format wall installations.
The 30" format is designed to combine with other tiles in the 30" Studio Foam range — including the S.E.A.M. and Wedge PRO 30" × 30" — to create mixed-profile wall treatments. Mixing profiles within a single installation produces a varied surface texture while maintaining consistent tile dimensions for clean alignment.

Installation
Plan the tile layout before beginning installation. Sketch the intended pattern on paper and mark the layout on the wall or ceiling surface using pencil, masking tape, or a laser level. Distribute tiles evenly across the treatment area rather than concentrating them in a single large cluster; even distribution provides more consistent absorption coverage across the room.
Apply Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive to both the back of the tile and the mounting surface. Apply a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the tile and 50–75% coverage of the remaining surface area; repeat the equivalent coverage on the wall. Allow the adhesive to become touch-dry before bringing the surfaces together — contact adhesive bonds on contact, so position the tile carefully before pressing it to the wall. Avoid overspray onto the tile face or surrounding wall surface; use masking tape on the wall to protect adjacent areas. If adhesive webbing contacts the tile face, allow it to dry fully before attempting to remove it — in most cases it can be peeled away cleanly once dry. The adhesive is solvent-based. Ensure adequate ventilation throughout the installation — keep doors and windows open.
For a temporary or demountable installation, mount tiles onto 6mm MDF or plywood sheet to create panels, then hang the panels using D-rings and picture hooks. For ceiling-mounted panels, use four mirror plates per panel. This approach allows panels to be removed and repositioned without damage to the wall or ceiling surface.
