The NOR874 is a single-actuation automatic drop seal designed for retrofit installation to the bottom edge of sliding acoustic glass doors with 10mm glass thickness. It shares the same housing profile, actuation mechanism, fixing method, and performance characteristics as the NOR872 and NOR873, but is specifically sized for 10mm glass — the housing channel dimensions are matched to 10mm glass thickness to ensure a secure, correctly fitted bond to the door leaf edge.

The NOR874 housing is manufactured from aluminium with a silicone gasket, supplied in silver anodised (C 0) or stainless steel-coloured anodised (C 31) finish. The housing profile is 15 × 44.5mm. Maximum gap coverage is 11mm. Standard lengths are 708mm, 833mm, 958mm, 1083mm, and 1208mm, with a 125mm cutback. Single actuation. Applications

• Sliding acoustic glass doors — 10mm glass — bond to the bottom edge of the 10mm sliding glass door leaf to seal the gap between the door bottom and the floor when the door is in the closed position. The housing channel is sized for 10mm glass, ensuring a correctly fitted bond and consistent seal alignment across the width of the door. Select the appropriate length for the door leaf width, accounting for the 125mm cutback at the actuator end.
• Retrofit installation on existing 10mm sliding glass doorsets — the bonded fixing method allows the NOR874 to be installed on existing glass door leaves without drilling or screwing into the glass. Use a suitable structural adhesive compatible with the glass and aluminium housing materials.

• Two finish options — silver anodised and stainless steel-coloured anodised. Available in C 0 silver anodised and C 31 stainless steel-coloured anodised to suit standard glass door hardware finishes.

Installation

Select the appropriate seal length for the door leaf width, accounting for the 125mm cutback at the actuator end. Clean the bottom edge of the 10mm glass door leaf thoroughly — the surface must be dry, grease-free, and free from contamination before bonding. Apply a suitable structural adhesive (not supplied) to the housing channel and press the housing firmly onto the bottom edge of the glass, ensuring the channel is correctly seated on the 10mm glass edge before the adhesive sets. Allow the adhesive to cure fully before operating the door.

Once cured, slide the door to the closed position and check that the actuator engages the door stop cleanly and the seal carrier drops to make full contact with the floor across the width of the seal. Check that the carrier retracts fully when the door is opened and does not drag across the floor surface.
