Advanced Acoustics 3" Tegular Acoustic Foam Suspended Ceiling Tile Pack
The Advanced Acoustics Tegular 3" Suspended Ceiling Tile is a 75mm open-cell polyurethane acoustic foam tile with a plain face and 45-degree bevel cut on all four sides, measuring 595mm × 595mm — the standard suspended ceiling grid dimension. The tile achieves NRC 0.95 (Sound Absorption Class A), providing high-performance broadband absorption across the mid and high frequency range with strong low-mid performance. Each pack contains 6 tiles, covering 2.16m² of ceiling surface. Absorption: 0.73 at 250Hz, 0.98 at 500Hz, 1.05 at 1kHz, 1.13 at 2kHz, and 1.13 at 4kHz. The additional depth over the 2" version moves the tile up to Sound Absorption Class A as a result of the improved low-frequency performance — 0.73 at 250Hz versus 0.51 for the 2". The tile is designed to drop directly into an existing suspended ceiling grid in place of standard ceiling tiles. Available in Mid Grey and Dark Grey. Manufactured in the UK.
Applications
Recording studios and control rooms — Class A ceiling plane treatment.
The ceiling plane is a primary reflection surface in recording and control rooms. The Tegular 3" provides Class A broadband absorption at the ceiling plane, with the 0.73 at 250Hz delivering stronger low-mid frequency control than the 2" version. The drop-in format allows the ceiling to be treated without removing or modifying the existing grid.

The 75mm foam core achieves NRC 0.95 (Class A), with absorption of 0.73 at 250Hz, 0.98 at 500Hz, 1.05 at 1000Hz, 1.13 at 2000Hz, and 1.13 at 4000Hz. The 0.73 at 250Hz delivers strong low-mid frequency absorption — an improvement over the 2" version (0.51 at 250Hz) — which moves the tile up to Class A. The 3" is the appropriate specification where low-mid frequency absorption at the ceiling plane is part of the acoustic requirement.
Drop-in suspended ceiling format — 595mm × 595mm.
The 595mm × 595mm dimension matches the standard suspended ceiling grid module, allowing the tile to drop directly into an existing grid in place of standard ceiling tiles. No structural modification to the ceiling is required. The Tegular profile produces a clean, grid-like pattern consistent with a suspended ceiling installation.

Installation
The Tegular 3" Suspended Ceiling Tile is designed to drop directly into an existing standard suspended ceiling grid in place of the existing ceiling tiles. No adhesive is required; the tile is held in place by the grid. Due to the weight of the tiles (12.5kg per pack), increasing the number of wire supports supporting the ceiling grid is recommended to accommodate the additional load.
