Acoustic Foam Panel Range — Product Guide

Acousti-Slab Range — 1", 2", 3", 4"

The Acousti-Slab range is the core flat-panel specification in the Advanced Acoustics foam panel collection, available in four foam depths: 1" (25mm), 2" (50mm), 3" (75mm), and 4" (100mm). All panels measure 2ft × 4ft (610mm × 1220mm) and cover 0.74m² (8sqft) per panel. The 1" panel achieves NRC 0.55 (Sound Absorption Class D), providing effective mid and high frequency absorption. The 2" panel achieves NRC 0.85 (Class C), with significantly improved low-mid frequency performance (0.45 at 250Hz versus 0.20 for the 1"). The 3" panel achieves NRC 1.00 (Class A), with 0.83 at 250Hz delivering strong low-frequency absorption. The 4" panel achieves NRC 1.15 (Class A), with 1.17 at 250Hz — the strongest low-frequency performance in the Acousti-Slab range. Panels are available unmounted for direct adhesive fixing, trimming, or fabric wrapping, or mounted to a 6mm MDF substrate for wall hanging using mirror plates. Available in Mid Grey and Dark Grey.

Class '0' Range — 1", 2", 3", 4"

The Class '0' range is manufactured from 90kg/m³ open-cell foam and carries the Class '0' fire classification under UK Building Regulations — the highest fire safety rating for surface linings, required in public buildings, commercial premises, and specified environments where standard Crib 5 foam is not sufficient. Available in the same four depths as the Acousti-Slab range — 1" (25mm), 2" (50mm), 3" (75mm), and 4" (100mm) — all measuring 2ft × 4ft (610mm × 1220mm) and covering 0.74m² (8sqft) per panel. The range achieves NRC 0.45 to NRC 1.05 (Class D to Class A) across the four depths. The Class '0' panels meet BS 476 Parts 6 and 7, C s1, d0 to EN 13501-1, UL94 V-0, and Class A to ASTM E84-95. Available unmounted or mounted to 6mm MDF. Available in Black.

Column Range — Column2 and Column4

The Column range uses a precision CNC-cut semi-circular profile at 150mm depth — the greatest foam depth in the Advanced Acoustics range — providing strong low-frequency absorption that flat slab panels do not match. The Column2 measures 1ft × 2ft (305mm × 610mm) with a 0.18m² footprint per panel; the Column4 measures 1ft × 4ft (305mm × 1220mm) with a 0.37m² footprint. The semi-circular cross-section gives each panel a curved surface area approximately 57% greater than its wall footprint, increasing effective acoustic surface area relative to flat panels of equivalent size. Both formats are available as single panels or packs of 8. Available in Mid Grey and Dark Grey.

Construction and Compliance

The Acousti-Slab & Column share a common construction specification: 30kg/m³ open-cell polyurethane acoustic foam, precision CNC cut, meeting Crib 5 and Schedule 1, Part 1 of the Furnishings and Furniture (Fire)(Safety) Regulations 1988 (amended 1989). The Class '0' range is manufactured from 90kg/m³ open-cell foam meeting BS 476 Parts 6 and 7 (Class '0'), C s1, d0 to EN 13501-1, UL94 V-0, and Class A to ASTM E84-95. The White Melamine is manufactured from 16kg/m³ melamine foam meeting DIN 4102 B1, BS 476 Parts 6 and 7 (Class '0'), UL94 V-0, and EN 13501-1. All panels are manufactured in the Advanced Acoustics UK facility. Unmounted formats are shipped uncompressed from stock; mounted-to-MDF formats are produced to order. Custom sizes are available on request across the Acousti-Slab and Class '0' ranges.
