Door Bottom Seals
Norsound door bottom seals are available as automatic drop seals or wipe seals, for timber, metal, and glass door leaves.
The NOR820 is a single-actuation automatic drop seal for timber and metal doorsets, screw-fixed to the door face. Available in nine lengths from 400mm to 1200mm, with a 13.5 × 44mm housing and 12mm maximum gap coverage. Smoke tested to BS 8214, acoustic tested to BS EN ISO 10140-2. The NOR815 is a self-levelling automatic drop seal with a compact 8.5 × 40.5mm housing and 17mm maximum gap coverage — suited to larger floor gaps and uneven floor surfaces. The NOR855 is a three-blade wipe seal with a 5 × 29mm housing, for installations where a continuous floor contact seal is preferred over an automatic drop mechanism.
For sliding glass doors, the NOR872 (>6mm glass), NOR873 (8mm), and NOR874 (10mm) are bonded to the bottom edge of the glass leaf. For hinged glass doors, the NOR830–833 family bonds to the underside of the glass (8mm, 8–12mm, 10mm, and 20mm variants), and the NOR840–842 family bonds to the side face of the glass (8mm, 10mm, and >6mm variants).
Head & Jamb Seals
The NOR755 is a screw-fixed aluminium head and jamb seal with an ultra-soft silicone bubble gasket, for use on acoustic and fire-rated doorsets. Available in 1000mm and 2100mm lengths. The NOR710 is a self-adhesive PVC dual air pocket seal, smoke tested to BS 476 Part 31:1, cycle tested to 1,000,000 cycles. Available in four colours and two lengths (2100mm and 3000mm).
Meeting Stile Seals
The NOR510 is a screw-fixed meeting stile seal for double doorsets, sealing the leaf-to-leaf gap at the central meeting point. T6060 aluminium housing, 22.5 × 17.5mm profile, 2100mm length.
Thresholds
Norsound aluminium thresholds provide a flat, level engagement surface for door bottom seals at the door sill. The NOR620 (60mm), NOR625 (75mm), and NOR630 (100mm) are flat plate thresholds, all 4.9mm high and Approved Document M compliant. The NOR695 is a transition threshold (40 × 10mm) for floor level differences or hard-to-carpet transitions. The NOR650 is an acoustic threshold plate (79 × 14mm) with an integrated PVC gasket, tested to BS EN ISO 10140-2.
Glass Door Edge Seals
The Typhoon is an aluminium and neoprene edge seal for hinged glass door perimeters, available in multiple blade variants (SN007–SN064) for different frame geometries, with up to 12mm gap coverage. The VN Slide is a transparent silicone edge seal for sliding glass doors, available for 8mm and 10mm glass with 9mm maximum gap coverage.
