This listing is for a custom-sized 2" SoundControl Acoustic Panel available at a significantly reduced price due to a customer cancellation. The panel is complete, finished, and ready to dispatch. It is identical in construction and acoustic performance to the standard SoundControl range — 50mm Class '0' open-cell acoustic foam core, open-weave polyester fabric wrap, and rigid backing board — but is a fixed specification and is not available in alternative sizes, colours, or edge profiles.
Construction. 50mm Class '0' open-cell acoustic foam core wrapped in an open-weave polyester fabric in Havana (Black), mounted on a rigid backing board with a round edge profile. The open-weave fabric maintains full acoustic transparency, allowing sound to pass through to the foam core without attenuation.
NRC 1.00 — Class A broadband absorption. The 2" foam core achieves NRC 1.00 (Sound Absorption Class A), with strong absorption across the full speech frequency range: 0.61 at 250Hz, 1.03 at 500Hz, 1.16 at 1000Hz, 1.11 at 2000Hz, and 1.10 at 4000Hz. Suitable for office, commercial, and educational environments where broadband reverberation control is required.
Class '0' fire-rated foam core — compliant for commercial use. The acoustic foam core is Class '0' rated to BS 476 Parts 6 and 7, and C s1, d0 to EN 13501-1, meeting commercial fire safety requirements for wall and ceiling-mounted acoustic treatment in offices, schools, and public buildings.
Mirror plate fixing — supplied with hardware. The panel is supplied with mirror plate fixing hardware for permanent wall or ceiling mounting. Mirror plate fixing provides a flush, secure mount suitable for permanent installations on solid wall or ceiling structure.
Handmade in the UK. Constructed in the Advanced Acoustics UK facility using the same materials and methods as the standard SoundControl range, ensuring consistent acoustic performance and finish quality.
Installation
Mark the fixing position on the wall or ceiling using the panel dimensions as a guide. Ensure fixing positions are located on solid structure or appropriate noggins — do not fix into plasterboard alone without appropriate cavity fixings.
For mirror plate fixing: screw the mirror plate to the wall or ceiling at the marked position using appropriate fixings for the substrate, and hang or mount the panel on the mirror plate. Check that the panel is level before finalising the fixing position.

Our Acoustic Panels are very easy to install. They are supplied with either Button Fix, D-Rings or Mirror Plates. If you are going to mount the panels on the wall you can use either option. If you are mounting the panels on the ceiling you will need to use the Mirror Plate option. The only thing that isn’t supplied are the screws and plugs. The correct fixing method depends on whether you are fixing to plasterboard, brick or concrete. Check with an experienced tradesman if you aren’t sure what fixing method is best. The acoustic panels are relatively light so you will only need to use 30mm long screws to mount the panels with.
Mirror Plates
The panels are shipped with the mirror plates facing inwards to protect them during shipping. Before mounting the panels you will need to turn the plates around so that the mounting hole is exposed.
Offer up the panel in the location where you wish to fit it. Mark the wall with a pencil where the fixings need to go. Drill the holes with a suitable drill bit and insert the plugs. Offer up the panel again and fix into place with your choice of screws. Repeat until all panels are fitted.
D-Ring
The D-Rings allow you to mount the acoustic panels on the wall in the same way as you would a picture. You can either use picture hooks to hang the panels on or use a plug and screw if you prefer.
Button Fix
Button Fix is an extremely strong and very easy mounting method. We supply the Button Fix Clips plus suitable screws, Buttons and the Marker Tool in order for you to mount the acoustic panels with. The video below explains how to use them. We have found it easier, when completing our own installations, to mount the black clips to the back of the panels and the green buttons to the mounting surface.

Excluded Items
For carts which contain Plasterboard, Soundproofing Mat, SilentBoard, QuietPanel, Silent Floor Ultra, M20 and R10 the following charges apply
£8.00 carriage for the first item and £4.00 carriage for every item added up to a maximum charge of £75.00.
Some soundproofing items have a minimum order due to shipping constraints.
Bulk Products have a £75.00 pallet charge per item.
Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please contact us for your return authorisation number. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
