Create Sonic Perfection with the Large Wedge Euphonic Starter Kit

The Advanced Acoustics Euphonic Studio Starter Kit - Large is a complete acoustic treatment package combining 24 Wedge 12" acoustic foam tiles, 24 bevelled (tegular) acoustic foam tiles, and 4 matching Wedge Bass Traps. The Wedge tiles measure 305mm × 305mm × 40mm and the bevelled tiles measure 305mm × 305mm × 55mm, together covering 4.46m² (48sqft) of wall or ceiling surface and achieving NRC 0.80 (Sound Absorption Class C); the Wedge Bass Traps measure 915mm × 305mm × 305mm and are designed for corner installation to control low-frequency sound waves.

The Large kit doubles the tile coverage of the Small kit and pairs it with full-length 915mm bass traps, providing comprehensive Class C acoustic treatment for larger recording studio, control room, or rehearsal space environments. Available in Mid Grey and Dark Grey. Manufactured in the UK.

What's Included

24 Wedge Acoustic Foam Tiles — 305mm × 305mm × 40mm, featuring the precision CNC-cut wedge profile for effective mid and high frequency absorption.

24 Bevelled Acoustic Foam Tiles — 305mm × 305mm × 55mm, with a plain flat face and 45-degree bevel cut on all four sides for a clean, architectural finish. The Wedge and bevelled tiles together cover 4.46m² (48sqft) and achieve NRC 0.80 (Sound Absorption Class C).

4 Wedge Bass Traps — 915mm × 305mm × 305mm, for corner installation. The bass traps target the low-frequency sound waves that wall tiles do not address, controlling standing waves and low-end build-up in the room corners where low-frequency energy accumulates.

Applications

Recording studios, control rooms, and rehearsal spaces — larger rooms. The Large Euphonic Starter Kit provides double the tile coverage of the Small kit alongside full-length 915mm bass traps, suited to larger room dimensions or environments requiring more thorough Class C treatment. The combination of wedge and bevel profiles produces a varied wall surface with a dynamic visual result. The kit is designed as a comprehensive starting point that can be expanded with additional tiles or bass traps as required. Use the Coverage Calculator to determine whether the Small or Large kit is appropriate for your room dimensions.

Product Benefits

Complete treatment package — mixed-profile tiles and bass traps in one kit. The kit pairs the mixed Wedge and bevelled tile pack with the matching Wedge Bass Trap, providing a coordinated treatment package that addresses both the broadband frequency range handled by the wall tiles and the low-frequency build-up handled by the corner bass traps. The mixed profile produces a varied surface texture across the wall installation.

Specification and compliance. 30kg/m³ foam density. Crib 5 and Schedule 1, Part 1 of the Furnishings and Furniture (Fire)(Safety) Regulations 1988 (amended 1989). Wedge tile size 305mm × 305mm × 40mm. Bevelled tile size 305mm × 305mm × 55mm. Bass trap size 915mm × 305mm × 305mm. 24 wedge tiles + 24 bevelled tiles + 4 bass traps per kit. Mid Grey and Dark Grey. Manufactured in the UK and shipped uncompressed from stock.

Installation

Fix the Wedge and bevelled tiles to wall and ceiling surfaces using Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive, applied to both the back of the tile and the mounting surface. Alternate wedge and bevel tiles across the surface for an even distribution of both profiles. Install the Wedge Bass Traps in the room corners — vertical orientation in the wall-wall corners and horizontal orientation in the wall-ceiling corners — where low-frequency energy is greatest. Plan the layout before beginning installation and distribute wall tiles evenly across the primary reflection points. Ensure adequate ventilation throughout installation — the adhesive is solvent-based.

Notes: For Control Rooms it is vital that the wall that has the control desk placed on it is entered as the Room Width even if this is the longest wall. Available Corners refers to the amount of wall to wall corners that are available for bass traps. There must be at least 350mm of free space on either wall for it to qualify.
Installing our acoustic foam tiles and bass traps included in this kit is very simple. The first step to take is to work out your preferred layout of acoustic tiles and bass traps. Do a sketch on paper first to make sure that the layout looks right and you have enough acoustic foam and space for your planned design. It is best to have small to medium sized clusters of acoustic foam tiles evenly distributed as opposed to one huge cluster of tiles in the middle of a wall.

Once the acoustic tiles and bass traps are mounted to the wall or ceiling they are hard to remove so it is important to get the layout right before you begin. Once you have a sketch of the layout you plan you can then mark up the wall with the layout. You can either use pencil, masking tape or lasers to layout the design on the wall or ceiling.

When mounting the acoustic foam to the wall or ceiling apply Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive to both the back of the tile or bass traps and the mounting surface. There is no need to heavily cover the acoustic foam or wall with adhesive, a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the tile or bass trap along with 50% - 75% coverage of the rest of the acoustic tile or bass trap will be fine. Use the same equivalent amount on the wall. Avoid overspray on the product and the wall so that adhesive can’t be seen when the tiles are in place. Masking Tape on the wall will help with this. If you do get webbing overspray on the tile, don’t touch it, allow it to dry, in most cases you will be able to peel the adhesive off.

We would recommend that you install your Bass Traps first. You can re-confirm that everything is going to fit and look right before continuing with installing the acoustic tiles.

The adhesive we supply is solvent based so we recommend that you keep all doors of the room and any windows open whilst completing the installation.

If you prefer to have a more temporary installation of acoustic tiles you can mount the tiles onto 6mm MDF or ply to create panels of acoustic tiles. These panels can then be hung on the wall using a D-Ring and picture hook for a damage free installation. If fitting them to a ceiling then 4 mirror plates would be required.
