The Advanced Acoustics S.E.A.M. 4" is a 100mm open-cell polyurethane acoustic foam tile with a plain face and 45-degree bevel cut on all four sides, measuring 762mm × 762mm (30" × 30"). The tile achieves NRC 1.05 (Sound Absorption Class A) — the deepest and highest-performing tile in the S.E.A.M. range. Each pack contains 6 tiles, covering 3.48m² (37.5sqft) of wall or ceiling surface.
Absorption: 0.85 at 250Hz, 1.09 at 500Hz, 1.11 at 1kHz, 1.14 at 2kHz, and 1.13 at 4kHz. NRC values above 1.00 occur in standardised reverberation chamber testing as a result of edge diffraction effects, a recognised characteristic of deep absorbers tested under ISO 354 conditions. The 0.85 at 250Hz delivers the strongest low-frequency absorption in the S.E.A.M. range. Tiles can be installed in square or diamond orientations. Available in Mid Grey and Dark Grey. While dedicated bass traps in room corners remain the most efficient approach to low-frequency room mode control, the S.E.A.M. 4" provides a level of distributed low-frequency absorption — 0.85 at 250Hz — that complements corner bass trap installations. The 100mm depth addresses frequencies in the 250Hz range across wall surfaces, useful in environments where thorough low-frequency treatment is required alongside mid and high frequency control.

The square 30" × 30" format can be installed in square or diamond orientations to suit the room design. Consistent CNC-cut dimensions ensure accurate alignment without adjustment during installation.

Installation
Plan the tile layout before beginning installation. Sketch the intended pattern on paper and mark the layout on the wall or ceiling surface using pencil, masking tape, or a laser level. Distribute tiles evenly across the treatment area rather than concentrating them in a single large cluster; even distribution provides more consistent absorption coverage across the room.
Apply Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive to both the back of the tile and the mounting surface. Apply a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the tile and 50–75% coverage of the remaining surface area; repeat the equivalent coverage on the wall. Allow the adhesive to become touch-dry before bringing the surfaces together — contact adhesive bonds on contact, so position the tile carefully before pressing it to the wall. Avoid overspray onto the tile face or surrounding wall surface; use masking tape on the wall to protect adjacent areas. If adhesive webbing contacts the tile face, allow it to dry fully before attempting to remove it — in most cases it can be peeled away cleanly once dry. The adhesive is solvent-based. Ensure adequate ventilation throughout the installation — keep doors and windows open.
For a temporary or demountable installation, mount tiles onto 6mm MDF or plywood sheet to create panels, then hang the panels using D-rings and picture hooks. For ceiling-mounted panels, use four mirror plates per panel. This approach allows panels to be removed and repositioned without damage to the wall or ceiling surface.
