Advanced Acoustics 30" x 30" Wedge PRO Acoustic Studio Foam Tile Pack
The Advanced Acoustics Wedge PRO 30" × 30" is a 75mm open-cell polyurethane acoustic foam tile in a precision CNC-cut wedge profile, measuring 762mm × 762mm (30" × 30"). The tile achieves NRC 0.95 (Sound Absorption Class B), providing high-performance broadband absorption across the mid and high frequency range with strong low-mid performance. Each pack contains 6 tiles, covering 3.48m² (37.5sqft) of wall or ceiling surface. The 75mm depth delivers stronger low-frequency absorption than the 40mm Wedge 12" — 0.57 at 250Hz versus 0.25 — making the Wedge PRO the appropriate specification where the entry-level wedge has proved insufficient and Class B broadband performance is required. Absorption: 0.57 at 250Hz, 0.91 at 500Hz, 1.08 at 1kHz, 1.15 at 2kHz, and 1.14 at 4kHz. Available in Mid Grey and Dark Grey. Manufactured in the UK.
Applications
Professional recording studios and control rooms — Class B broadband treatment.
The Wedge PRO at NRC 0.95 (Class B) provides comprehensive broadband absorption from 500Hz upward, with the 75mm depth delivering low-mid frequency absorption that 40mm profiles cannot match. Suited to professional studios and control rooms where the entry-level Wedge 12" has proved insufficient and thorough treatment of the mid and high frequency range alongside low-mid control is required. The large 30" × 30" format covers significant wall area per tile, making it efficient for treating the larger wall surfaces of professional studio environments. Install on primary reflection points — side walls, rear wall, and ceiling. Use the Coverage Calculator to determine the number of packs required.
Home studios and recording spaces — step-up treatment.
For home studios where the Wedge 12" (NRC 0.60) has proved insufficient at lower frequencies, the Wedge PRO provides a significant performance increase — NRC 0.95 and 0.57 at 250Hz versus 0.25 — addressing the low-mid reverberation and room colouration that entry-level tiles leave partially uncorrected. The square 30" × 30" format can be installed in horizontal or vertical orientations, or mixed with other Studio Foam Tiles to create varied wall patterns.
Vocal booths and isolation rooms.
Vocal booths benefit from the 75mm depth's improved low-mid absorption, which helps control the low-frequency build-up common in small enclosed spaces. The strong absorption from 500Hz upward — 0.91 at 500Hz through to 1.14 at 4kHz — covers the full vocal recording range, reducing coloration and producing a cleaner, drier vocal capture than thinner profiles.
Product Benefits
NRC 0.95 / Sound Absorption Class B — high-performance broadband absorption.
The 75mm wedge foam core achieves NRC 0.95 (Class B), with absorption of 0.57 at 250Hz, 0.91 at 500Hz, 1.08 at 1000Hz, 1.15 at 2000Hz, and 1.14 at 4000Hz. The 0.57 at 250Hz represents a substantial improvement over the entry-level Wedge 12" (0.25 at 250Hz), making the Wedge PRO effective across a broader frequency range — particularly in the low-mid range where the 40mm wedge loses performance. For maximum low-frequency absorption within the wedge profile, the Wedge PRO 30" × 30" at 75mm is the deepest wedge specification in the Advanced Acoustics range.
Classic wedge profile — CNC cut for consistent dimensions.
Each tile is cut using CNC machinery to ensure consistent dimensions across every tile in the pack. The wedge profile provides effective absorption across the full tile face and allows tiles to be installed in alternating orientations to create a varied surface texture. Consistent tile dimensions ensure accurate alignment without adjustment during installation.
Large rectangular format — 3.48m² coverage per pack.
Each pack contains 6 tiles at 762mm × 762mm, providing 3.48m² (37.5sqft) of coverage. The 30" × 30" square format can be installed in horizontal or vertical orientations and combined with other 15" Studio Foam Tiles for mixed-format wall treatments. Use the Coverage Calculator to determine the number of packs required for your room dimensions and type before ordering.
Specification and compliance.
30kg/m³ foam density. Crib 5 and Schedule 1, Part 1 of the Furnishings and Furniture (Fire)(Safety) Regulations 1988 (amended 1989). Tile size 762mm × 762mm × 75mm (30" × 30" × 3"). 6 tiles per pack, 3.48m² (37.5sqft) coverage. Mid Grey and Dark Grey. Manufactured in the UK and shipped uncompressed from stock.
Installation
Plan the tile layout before beginning installation. Sketch the intended pattern on paper and mark the layout on the wall or ceiling surface using pencil, masking tape, or a laser level. Distribute tiles evenly across the treatment area rather than concentrating them in a single large cluster; even distribution provides more consistent absorption coverage across the room.
Apply Advanced Acoustics Contact Adhesive to both the back of the tile and the mounting surface. Apply a band of adhesive around the perimeter of the tile and 50–75% coverage of the remaining surface area; repeat the equivalent coverage on the wall. Allow the adhesive to become touch-dry before bringing the surfaces together — contact adhesive bonds on contact, so position the tile carefully before pressing it to the wall. Avoid overspray onto the tile face or surrounding wall surface; use masking tape on the wall to protect adjacent areas. If adhesive webbing contacts the tile face, allow it to dry fully before attempting to remove it — in most cases it can be peeled away cleanly once dry. The adhesive is solvent-based. Ensure adequate ventilation throughout the installation — keep doors and windows open.
For a temporary or demountable installation, mount tiles onto 6mm MDF or plywood sheet to create panels, then hang the panels using D-rings and picture hooks. For ceiling-mounted panels, use four mirror plates per panel. This approach allows panels to be removed and repositioned without damage to the wall or ceiling surface.
